Although I have only lived for 28 years I have had one heck of a ride. It would take a book to write my whole life story, as I’m sure everyone will be able to say the same, but for purposes of this post I will try to sum it up and let you guys know what has brought me to this particular point as I’m writing this blog to become a success with internet marketing.
As I mentioned I am only 28 years old so I’m fairly young and am thankful that I have found something like this at an early age as I’ll be able to definitely appreciate every step I take and start to experience the good life as soon as possible. My mentor Alex Jeffrey’s is 28 so that’s cool too! I am married and have two wonderful children that are 8 and 7. They are my motivation and what keeps me striving for excellence on a daily basis.
I was born in the Philippines but was adopted at an early age by my half sister (we share the same father) and her American husband, thus my last name being Haller. This is where it gets confusing I know but my sister who adopted me is much older, she is currently 54, and I grew up calling her my mother because they actually went through the whole process of adoption. Anyway my American father was in the Air Force for 32 years so we moved to different places during my lifetime. We lived in Virginia at one point, Alabama and Colorado just to name a few but when my dad retired we settled to Sugar Land, Texas a place about an hour from Houston.
This is where I met my husband and we had two children at an early age. Out of high school I had attended some college courses and at the same time started my career in the banking industry. I started as a teller and moved my way up and became a manager of a bank within 3 years. Banking pays well especially as a manager and having two kids, it put completing college on the back burner.
Fast forward to August 2008 when I decided to take a trip with my husband and two kids to the Philippines, my first time back since 1991, when Mt. Pinatubo erupted, another story in itself. My real mother lives here and it was nice to reconnect with her and see that she was doing well. She had given me and my sister up for adoption and she sacrificed her life for us so that we may have a better life. Both me and my husband fell in love with the Philippines and when we returned home we decided to move there!
I put my two weeks notice August 2009 after 10 years in the banking industry and we arrived here in the Philippines September 1st 2009. It was hard for our friends and family in Houston to believe that we were actually serious and really going to move but I didn’t want to be a slave to the corporate world any longer and we also didn’t want to be the type of people that just talk about it and never go through with it. All we brought with us is the money that we have saved up until that point and two suitcases of clothes for each of us. We literally had to start from scratch with buying everything from dishes to furniture and also school for the kids.
While the cost of living is definitely cheaper over here, I always say that you can literally live like a queen because it’s so cheap, there comes a point when the money does run out and you have to have a plan in place to of course make more. My husband is back and forth to the states as he is still making money for us but being a stay at home mom for a couple of months and not doing anything to help financially, I started to look on the internet for ways to make money.
I started internet marketing in February and besides from a couple of sales, 3 to be exact, from Clickbank I have not made the kind of money I would like to make. Heck Clickbank hasn’t even paid me as I’ve not reached the threshold yet. I’ve purchased numerous domain names and put a couple of blogs up. In addition, I spent money on placing Adwords and Facebook ads which didn’t result in anything. I put those ads on pause quick because I didn’t want to waste any more money. I was too caught up on information overload and was doing too much at one time. With all my searching though I’m glad that I found Alex Jeffrey’s coaching course, I guess you could say that was the good thing that came out of it.
When I moved to the Philippines I had created a personal blog for my family and friends from back home to keep in touch with me and to see my progress. At this point what I want is to be a success with internet marketing and more importantly help the lives of others. I know that if I do that than the same will be returned to me.
I can’t say that I’ve had a bad life as each experience helps me grow to be a stronger person but I definitely know what it’s like to not have things as my husband and I have gone through our share of financial crisis. We do what we can with what we have but we would definitely like to be in a place where we don’t have to worry about money and have to think whether we will be able to afford things that we need and want. To be honest I did not have the funds for the course with Alex but for some reason I knew I had to get in his course and learn what he has to teach. I was glad to find out that he had the payment plan option in which I took. I don’t even know how I’m going to be able to make the next payments at this point but I’m not worried about that right now. I am more worried about taking action because persistence is greater than capital.
Either way I know that I will be further from where I was to begin with and I know that if I take things in stride that I too will be a success in the near future. So there you have it, that’s my story in a nutshell. I hope you have related to it somehow and that you will take a look at where you are at and move forward to whatever dreams and aspirations that you have.
