My first eBook is now complete and I’m so happy that I’ve finally finished it. It took me a couple of weeks to complete it, not sure how many hours I spent on it though as I had worked on it in spurts. I got the awesome graphics from a guy that was recommended by another internet marketer named Alvin Huang. He recommended Buddy over at Covers Corp. He did an awesome job I must say and the best part is that I only paid $19 which is not bad at all. Here is the cover he made me.

Golden Nuggets For NewbiesI picked “Golden Nuggets For Newbies” because I wanted to focus on new internet marketers starting out. I’ve obviously been there and done that so I know how it feels like to be a newbie, actually I still consider myself one, but I wanted to write it from a newbie perspective.

One of the points that I do make in the eBook is that I am writing from one newbie to another and my intent is to be able to relate to all the frustrations and challenges that one faces when starting out.

I have basically put into this eBook what I have experienced and what I have found to be most helpful to me in the last six months that I have been online. It is a short 21 page report but is packed with a lot of useful golden nuggets that I hope people will be able to learn from and apply so that they can cut their learning curve in half and start doing what is really important for their online business.

After you’ve been online for a couple of months and you’ve read eBook after eBook and blog after blog on how to make money there is still a missing piece to the puzzle that ties it all together. Some people search and search for this for a long time and can’t seem to find it. Maybe it’s because we take in too much information and it’s hard for us to put it all together. Or maybe we’re too busy searching for it but it’s right in front of our eyes! Whatever it is, we get stuck and don’t know what to do or where to turn to. This eBook is what I wanted to know when I started out but didn’t know but I wish I had as it would have saved me a lot of time.

Tools I used

I have a Mac so I used Neo Office to create my PDF. I must admit that this software was easy to use and I did not have any problems at all with it. I was able to add my picture just fine and when it came down to creating it into PDF format it was very easy to do with a click of the mouse.

I had originally created my squeeze page through List Zen, but had someone else helping me out and he created a better looking one so I went with that one. List Zen was very easy to use and if you go through the whole process I still used them for the pre-confirmation page as well as the post-confirmation page that has my download link on it. I am working on offering a an OTO on the pre-confirmation page but wanted to put it up now as I’m really excited about it.

My Plan

I plan on entering giveaways and as discussed in my post last week continue to build relationships through the adswap channel I’m involved in so that when my list grows I know people already that I can adswap with.

The giveaways I have entered so far are:

Hot Summer Giveaway

Social Marketing Gifts Giveaway

I will be entering two more and see what my results are in a couple of weeks. In addition, I am planning on writing my email copy to send out to my current list introducing them to my new eBook as well as email copy for others to send out for me. This is a hard task in and of itself as you really have to captivate your readers with this email. A lot of people talk about having a good squeeze page but your email copy is just as important. After all, that is the first thing they see before being directed to your squeeze page. Also, creating email copy for your own creation is different than creating an email copy for an affiliate product. You are emotionally attached to your “baby” and you have to treat it as such and you have to communicate that through your copy as well.

As with coming out with your own creation I am a bit nervous of what people are going to think of it so your comments and feedback whether good or bad are much appreciated.
